‘Shaandar’ co-stars Alia Bhatt and Shahid Kapoor were seen greeting each other warmly at the Green carpet of the 20th edition of IIFA awards that were held in Mumbai on September 18. In a video that surfaced on the internet,  Alia was seen addressing the media at the event, after which she spotted Shahid and went on to hug and greet him.

The ‘Kabir Singh’ actor also congratulated Alia while speaking to her in front of the media. He said “Congratulations in advance. You’re winning an award. I know you’re winning it.” Kapoor also went to compliment Alia on her appearance for the award function. While speaking about Bhatt’s attire, he said, “Jazzy Sh*t bro, I love it!”. Alia gracefully took on the compliment. Both of them then went ahead to strike a pose for the shutterbugs

Alia Bhatt and Shahid Kapoor were together seen in 2015 film ‘Shaandar.’ Individually, Bhatt will next be seen in ‘Brahmastra’ alongside Ranbir Kapoor. While, Shahid was last seen in mega-blockbuster ‘Kabir Singh’ which was termed as the actor’s best performance so far.

Alia won Best Actress award for Raazi

Later in the evening, the 26-year-old ‘Highway’ actress won an award for her performance as a spy in her blockbuster film ‘Raazi’. The movie itself bagged the IIFA award for the Best Film. Apart from Alia, debutantes in B-town Sara Ali Khan and Ishaan Khatter won awards for Best debut for their films, 'Kedarnath' and 'Dhadak' respectively. Additionally, Ranveer Singh, Vicky Kaushal, Aditi Rao Hydari, filmmaker Sriram Raghavan and many others won awards in their respective categories.

IIFA 2019, which happens to be the biggest award function in Bollywood, saw many B-Town celebrities, including Deepika Padukone, Alia Bhatt, Shahid Kapoor, Ranveer Singh, Katrina Kaif and Sara Ali Khan huddled up together under one roof.
