The actress replied to Fawad’s post of the first look trailer of ‘The Legend of Maula Jatt’ and called it ‘brilliant’ not once but twice along with stars galore.

Here’s the tweet: "What a brilliant brilliant trailer.”

Alia and Fawad were seen bonding big time during the promotions of the Shakun Batra directorial also featuring Sidharth Malhotra. Both the actors were immensely acclaimed for their performances.

‘The Legend of Maula Jatt’  also stars two other names who have worked in Indian films, Mahira Khan, who had starred opposite Shah Rukh Khan in ‘Raees’ and Humaima Malick, who had shared screen space with Emraan Hashmi in 2016 release ‘Raja Natwarlal.’

But the basic plot of ‘The Legend of Maula Jatt’ revolves around ‘Pakistan’s greatest rivalry’ as the trailer puts it, between Fawad’s character and Hamza Abbasi. Though names like ‘Gladiator’, ‘300’ or even ‘Game of Thrones’ are too big to compare it, the visuals might just briefly take you in that space. From the protagonists’ bearded avatars, the action scenes, attention to detailing in the costumes and objects, every moment seems top-notch.

The film is touted to be the most expensive film from the country and that is evident in the manner in which it is shot. The movie has been directed by Bilal Lashari.

Fawad has not been seen in India after the controversy over his featuring in Karan Johar's 'Ae Dil Hai Mushkil'. The so-called ban on Pakistani artistes to work in Indian films is still intact. However, the singers from the country have been lending their voices for Indian ventures.
