Alia Bhatt is an Indian film actor mainly seen in Bollywood projects alongside some most successful actors of the industry. She is the daughter of the famous director, Mahesh Bhatt. Alia has given the audience some great films like  Dear Zindagi, Highway, and Gully Boy. The star has come forward to support a lot of activities that are associated with the welfare of society. Here are three instances where Alia has taken a step towards supporting social causes.

Mi Wardrobe is Su Wardrobe

This was a great move initiated by the Indian actor, Alia Bhatt. In it, her fans could buy some handpicked favourites from Alia’s personal closet. The funds generated would be used for the good by giving away the proceeds to charity. The money generated was used to light up homes of 40 families in Kikkeri, in the Mandya district of Karnataka. This was conducted by the Liter Of Light program which is run by a Bengaluru-based organization called AROHA.

Art for the Heart

Alia Bhatt has started an initiative in order to raise funds through a painting exhibition for children suffering from heart diseases. She named the exhibition Art of the Heart at Bai Jerbai Wadia Hospital for Children in Mumbai. Alia was accompanied by Sumitra Venkatesh, who is a paediatric cardiologist at the hospital.

Motopaws

It is known that Alia Bhatt has a soft corner for the welfare of animals. She has been associated with a lot of activities related to the welfare of street cats and conservation of sea turtles. But she has now started a movement in which old pieces of denim are used to create reflective collars for street dogs. The collars are very useful as it makes it easier for a motorcyclist to see the dogs from a distance. This initiative is a very helpful step as it saves the lives of those animals and avoids road accidents.
