2019 seems to be a year of big hits with films like 'Kalank' and 'Avengers: Endgame' pipelined for release. As both the films are scheduled to release this month, critics are speculating a massive clash between the two much-anticipated ventures. However, 'Kalank' actor Varun Dhawan seems to be confident as he defies all such assumptions. As per media reports, with 'Kalank' releasing on April 17 and 'Endgame' on April 26, Varun says there is enough gap between the films to gross their own deserving amount.
While taking on the sidelines of a recent event on Friday, he reportedly said that their film which is scheduled to release 9 days ahead of the mammoth Marvel project is targetting a big international release as well, and 9 days are enough people like a film. He further stated that a good film is appreciated whatsoever. If there is enough screen space for both these films to run, he believes viewers will manage to watch both the films.
Set in the 1940s, in Pre-Independence India, 'Kalank' is said to be a tale of eternal love. Varun will next take up the role of Zafar in the much-anticipated venture. It is helmed by director Abhishek Verman and also stars Alia Bhatt, Sonakshi Sinha, Aditya Roy Kapur, Sanjay Dutt and Madhuri Dixit in the lead. Jointly produced by Karan Johar, Sajid Nadiadwala, and Fox Star Studios, 'Kalank' is all set to hit the theatres on April 19, 2019.
Meanwhile, the actor also refuted the rumours of starring in 'Stree' sequel replacing Shraddha Kapoor. However, he will be sharing screen-space with the actress in Remo D'Souza's 'Street Dancer' which is all set to hit the theatres on November 8, 2019.
