Ayushmann Khurrana announces break, says 'My family needs my time'

Ayushmann Khurrana, who has given back-to-back hits in the last few years, recently informed his fans that he will be taking a break from films in November this year. The Andhadhun actor said that he was having four consecutive movies in the last year and now he needed a break to strike a work-life balance. It seems like it will be a longish break from work. Ayushmann Khurrana was last seen in the Dream Girl, which also featured Nushrat Bharucha opposite him.

Ayushmann Khurrana to take a longish break

During a media interaction with a news agency, the actor said, “The past year was a bit demanding for me, and hence I decided to strike a balance between family and my work. I am taking off after November 15 to spend time with Tahira and my children." Ayushmann confirmed that he is free from professional commitments after November. He further added that he would be busy with promotions of Bala after he completes his shooting for the film Shubh Mangal Zyaada Saavdhan. He has not signed any movie after Bala, and after mid-November, he is entirely free to spend time with family.

About Ayushmann Khurrana’s family

The 35-year old actor, Ayushmann Khurrana, is married to filmmaker Tahira Kashyap. He is a father of two children, son Virajveer and daughter Varushka. Talking about the same with the news agency, the actor said, “I have realised that that family needs my time and hence I am looking to take time off from my work”. The Vicky Donor actor, who recently won the National Award for Best Actor for his movie Andhadhun, will be next seen in projects like Shubh Mangal Zyaada Savdhaan, Bala, and Gulabo Sitabo.

About Dream Girl

Ayushmann Khurrana’s second film this year, Dream Girl, starring Nushrat Bharucha has already crossed the Rs 100 crore mark. The film has reportedly managed to collect a total of Rs 124.82 crore at the box office. The film also features Annu Kapoor, Vijay Raaz, Abhishek Bannerjee in the lead roles. The film was released on September 13, 2019, and was jointly produced by Ekta Kapoor, Shobha Kapoor, and Aashish Singh.
