Ayushmann Khurrana recalls a personal anecdote

Ayushmann has proved to be a versatile actor who can modulate his voice according to the character's requirements. The actor stunned the viewers by dubbing in a woman's voice for the first installment of Dream Girl. Opening about his character in the sequel to the film, the Andhadhun actor revealed how he got into the skin of Pooja.

Ayushmann said, "My radio jockey and theatre stint really helped me greatly, especially in this film. I used to make prank calls as a woman when I was working at the radio station. Moreover, I used to call my first girlfriend and would pretend to be her female if her dad picked up the landline."

The Anek actor further revealed that he expects Dream Girl 2 to be funnier than the previous part. He said that the team has managed to achieve that and the 2.0 version of the film is "double fun".

Dream Girl 2 storyline

Ayushmann Khurrana's Dream Girl 2 will hit the big screens on August 25. Apart from the Badhaai Ho actor, the movie will also feature Paresh Rawal, Ananya Panday, Asrani, Rajpal Yadav, Annu Kapoor, Vijay Raaz and Abhishek Banerjee, among others in prominent roles. The story will revolve around Karam who disguises himself as Pooja to earn some quick money and repay all the loans and marry the love of his life, Pari (Ananya).
