Ayushmann Khurrana's Wife Tahira Kashyap Shares Her #MeToo Story, Says 'Relatives Are The Real Creeps'

With various sexual harassment allegations on eminent personalities from the Bollywood fraternity such as Alok Nath, Vikas Bahl and Nana Patekar, one can say that the #MeToo movement has reached the Hindi film industry.

With various sexual harassment allegations on eminent personalities from the Bollywood fraternity such as Alok Nath, Vikas Bahl and Nana Patekar, one can say that the #MeToo movement has reached the Hindi film industry. In the wake of the movement that had earlier taken Hollywood by storm, former actress Tanushree Dutta accused veteran actor Nana Patekar of sexual harassment. Tanushree's fight for justice has now taken a legal turn. Meanwhile, Dutta's brave step has now pushed several victims to share their stories. The recent one to share her story is Bollywood actor Ayushmann Khurrana's wife Tahira Kashyap. Taking to the photo-sharing app, Instagram, Tahira drafted an elaborate post sharing her #MeToo story, wherein she had suffered at the hands of a relative during her childhood days. In the post, she also revealed that she was scared of physical touches when she had started dating her boyfriend and now husband, Ayushmann.

Sharing the note, she captioned the post as "My #MeToo moment... wish I didn’t have one and neither did anyone. But glad we are speaking about it. Let’s have zero tolerance towards it. And let’s not question how long the victim took to speak. It took me around 20 years. Will it be held against me? #metoomovement#metoo #comeout #loveyourself#expressyourself #zerotolerance"

With the #MeToo movement gaining momentum, various Bollywood celebrities have been named with new ones keep emerging every other day. Apart from them,  renowned writer Chetan Bhagat has been accused of sexual misconduct by an anonymous victim after she shared screenshots of her chat with the author.

Further, television actor Alok Nath has been accused of rape by popular 90's show 'Tara' producer Vinta Nanda. In a detailed post on Facebook, she also mentioned that Alok Nath was an alcoholic, and accused him of allegedly being inappropriate with the lead actress of the show, Navneet Nishan. 

Several Bollywood A-listers have spoken out in support of all those victims of sexual misconduct. From Priyanka Chopra, Varun Dhawan, Anushka Sharma, Twinkle Khanna, Sonam Kapoor, Swara Bhasker, Sophie Chaudhary, to Farhan Akhtar, and others are supporting all those raising their voice against this practice.
