Ayushmann Khurrana's Bala director reveals all about his Gaiety Galaxy ritual

Gaiety Galaxy, located in Bandra, is reportedly one of Mumbai's oldest and most loved theatres. Many Bollywood celebrities are spotted catching a show of their favourite movie at the theatre. Amar Kaushik, director of Ayushmann Khurrana's Bala, has a fun ritual related to Gaiety Galaxy. Here is all you need to know.

Amar Kaushik, in a recent interview, revealed how he makes it a point to watch the first show of his movies at Gaiety Galaxy. The interview published on a leading magazine states that the director is often accompanied by Maddock Films head honcho Dinesh Vijayan on this round of Gaiety Galaxy. Reportedly, the duo visits a slew of theatres in Mumbai suburbs to gauge the audience reaction and reminisce their old memories. They start with Chandan Cinema in Juhu and end the theatre round with Gaiety Galaxy in Bandra. Amar further revealed that they started this ritual last year when his maiden movie released. Ever since then, the duo makes it a point to follow this ritual religiously.

On the professional front, Amar is currently basking in the success of his movie Bala. The movie starring Ayushmann Khurrana, Bhumi Pednekar and Yami Gautam in the lead has earned more than 60 crores at the box office in the first week of its release. Directed by Amar Kaushik, Bala narrates the tale of a man suffering from premature balding. The Ayushmann Khurrana starrer has managed to impress the critics with its intriguing storyline.
