This November, Bollywood moviegoers will get to see two movies that deal with the issue of pre-mature balding and the social stigma around it. One of them is the Ayushmann Khurrana-starrer Bala, and the other one is Ujda Chaman, starring Sunny Singh Nijjar. Both the movies were set to release in the same month and explored the same issue. Netizens were seen reacting to this co-incidence, and some said that one of the movies is a copy of the other. Bala, featuring Khurrana, received positive reviews for the trailer but the director of the film was apparently disturbed when people on the internet started calling his movie a copy. Amar Kaushik was disturbed when people said Bala was a copy

The director of Bala Amar Kaushik said that he was disturbed by the comparison of the two movies. He told the Press Trust of India that it would be wrong to say that he was not disturbed. He stated that he was indeed disturbed for two whole days. He felt that his movie was totally different from Ujda Chaman. Kaushik added that the only similarity between the two movies was that the lead characters of the movies were both suffering from pre-mature balding. He was fine when he heard that there was a somewhat similar movie being filmed around roughly the same time as his movie. Kaushik said that obviously he was disturbed when people started calling out his movie a copy. In the interview, he stated that his whole team had worked hard on his movie for months and he felt bad when people on the internet said that his movie was a copy just because both the movies have their lead characters suffering from the same condition and are seen in the trailers consulting a doctor to help them.

Amar Kaushik said that he did not let these accusations affect him as it would have hindered his work. After two days, he talked himself out of it and concentrated on making his film. Bala is set to release on November 7, 2019, and fans of Ayushmann Khurrana are excited to see the movie in the theatres.
