Bala Movie's Bhumi Pednekar Gets Candid About Her Insecurities

Bhumi Pednekar's comments on her insecurities and how she manages it. The actress spoke on how she copes and does not let her insecurities get in the way.

Bhumi Pednekar is known for her roles in movies like Dum Laga Ke Haisha, Toilet: Ek Prem Katha and Shubh Mangal Saavdhan. She is currently working for her upcoming film ‘Pati Patni Aur Woh,’ alongside Karthik Aryan. Helmed by Mudassar Aziz, the film is the remake of 1978 flick with the same name. Although Bhumi Pednekar has established herself firmly in the Bollywood industry, she still claims that she feels insecure at times when it comes to some of her roles.

Opening Up About Her Insecurities

During an interview with Deccan Chronicle, Bhumi said, “Everybody has their own share of insecurities. But it depends on the kind of people you have to surround yourself with. Either you accept that 'these are my flaws' and you try and correct them, or you accept them and celebrate it.” Despite her insecurities, she likes to celebrate her flaws rather than cribbing about it. Fans have great amount of respect for her after she released her statement and they thought it was quite bold of her to talk about her insecurities.

Bhumi also opened up about how surrounding herself with positive people had impacted her life positively. She said, “Of course, I would wish that I was a little taller or had more hair, and that's natural for everyone. I don't think anybody is 100% confident," she said, adding, "I try celebrating my flaws and my character flaws on screen, and at the end, it doesn't come across as flaws. You have to accept your imperfection and celebrate that." Bhumi isn't the only Bollywood star to open about insecurities. Earlier, Bollywood celebrities like Anushka Sharma, Farhan Akhtar, Arjun Kapoor and Sonam Kapoor have talked about dealing with insecurities in this industry.

Bhumi has also partaken in various projects for the coming years. She is pretty excited to work alongside Ayushmann Khurrana in the upcoming film ‘Bala'. The film is a story about a young man who is balding prematurely. 'Bala' is the second collaboration for Bhumi and Ayushmann after Shubh Mangal Savadhan. She has another movie, 'Saand ki Ankh' lined up for release this year.
