Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2: Kartik Aaryan will replace Akshay in this sequel 

Bhool Bhulaiyaa was released in 2007 and received cult status in Bollywood. The 2007 psychological thriller was critically acclaimed and was a commercial success at the box office. After 12 years post the release of the first film, the second film is slated for 2020. Bhoolbhulaiya 2 will be a horror-comedy featuring Kartik Aaryan and Kiara Advani, whereas Akshay Kumar and Vidya Balan were a part of the original piece. The second part of the movie is directed by Anees Bazmee. It is scheduled to be released on 31^st July 2020.  The poster of the movie was released by Kartik Aaryan himself on his Twitter handle on 19^th August 2019.

Netizens reacted strongly to this and were clearly not happy with this change in the original cast.

People all over the internet were tweeting and commenting about their disappointment regarding the current cast. Akshay Kumar is an icon in the comedy genre and is known for his hilarious performance. And it was apparently hard to digest for the Khiladi fans to see this icon replaced by another.
