Female Bollywood actors who have dubbed for animated characters

Bollywood stars have been lending their voices to animated characters since 2008. Here's a list of female actors who have lent their voice in animated movies.

Every year many animated movies are made and many of them receive critical acclaim. Animated movies help filmmakers create content where they can experiment with characters and present innovative, fantastical storylines. Although the animation movie industry has started booming only recently in India, Bollywood stars have been lending their voice to animated characters since 2008. Here's a list of female actors who have lent their voices in animated movies:

Priyanka Chopra

Bollywood’s 'Desi Girl' is famous for playing an FBI agent in the thriller series, Quantico. She has also lent her voice for animated characters like Kaa from Jungle Book, Ishani from Planes and Elsa from Frozen 2. The movie is set to release on November 22, 2019.

Parineeti Chopra

Disney roped in Priyanka Chopra Jonas to give voice-over for the main lead, Elsa for the animated movie, Frozen. After that, they got Parineeti Chopra on board to give voice-over for Elsa’s sister, Anna. Frozen 2 is set to release on November 22, 2019. The prequel of this film was a massive commercial success.

Kajol

The family of Parrs – Bob, Helen, Dash, Violet, and Jack-Jack won many hearts in 2004 when The Incredibles came out. In 2018 a sequel of the movie was made by Walt Disney Pictures. They roped in Kajol to give voice-over for the character of Helen Parr a.k.a Elastigirl. The film released on June 22, 2018. The film did well at the box office.

Vidya Balan

Vidya Balan, who has made a mark in the Bollywood industry, had also lent her voice to an animated character in Bollywood. Vidya had done a voice-over for the character of Draupadi in the movie Mahabharat, which released in 2013. Other actors who lent their voices in this movie were Amitabh Bachchan, Ajay Devgn, and Sunny Deol.

Sonakshi Sinha

Sonakshi Sinha lent her voice to the animated character of Jewel in the movie Rio 2. She also has sung a few lines for the animated Hollywood flick, making it her singing debut. Rio 2 was a comedy movie set in the Brazilian city of Rio De Janeiro.

Kareena Kapoor Khan

Kareena Kapoor Khan, too, has lent her voice to an animated character. Roadside Romeo was the first-ever 3D animated film made in Bollywood. It was a joint venture between Yash Raj Films and the Indian division of the Walt Disney Company. Kareena Kapoor lent her voice to the character of Laila in the movie.
