Boney Kapoor’s remake spree continues, now Venkatesh-Varun Tej-Tamannaah starrer ‘F2’ to be made in Hindi

Boney Kapoor has been on an intense remake spree of late, and it continues with the producer now acquiring the rights to Telugu hit ‘F2: Fun and Frustration’. The remake of the comedy, starring Venkatesh, Varun Tej, Tamannah Bhatia and Mehreen Pirzada will be helmed by veteran director Anees Bazmee.

The deal has brought two experienced producers together as Dil Raju, who backed the original, has also been around in the industry for long. 

The news was announced by trade anayst Taran Adarsh on Twitter. He wrote, “IT'S OFFICIAL... Boney Kapoor and Dil Raju [leading producer of #Telugu films] join hands for the official #Hindi remake of #Telugu hit #F2... #Hindi film will be directed by Anees Bazmee... #F2 stars Venkatesh, Varun Tej, Tamannaah and Mehreen Pirzada.” 

In the movie, Venkatesh is paired opposite Tamannaah Bhatia, while Mehreen Pirzada is Varun Tej’s love interest. The movie traces the hilarious confusion that Venkatesh-Varun's characters go through amid love, crime and family.

The movie is very much in the zone of other Anees Bazmee movies like ‘No Entry’, ‘Thank You’, ‘Ready’ and ‘Mubarakan.’ And like his other movies, we can expect a star-studded cast involving A-listers.

While Boney is importing South content in this case, he recently has been in the news for exporting Hindi movies, having announced the remake of ‘Pink’ in Tamil starring Ajith and ‘Badhaai Ho’ in all the four languages, Tamil , Kannada, Malayalam and Telugu.
