‘Chhichhore’ released on 6th September 2019. The film has an ensemble cast of Sushant Singh Rajput, Shraddha Kapoor, Naveen Polishetty, Varun Sharma, Tahir Bhasin, Tushar Pandey and Prateik Babbar. ‘Chhichhore’ managed to collect Rs. 7.32 crores on its first day. The ‘Dangal’ fame director said that he is happy with the response that his new film has been getting.

‘Chhhichhore’ is naïve approach to the old, golden college days. The film has been particularly garnering a lot of praise for its take on college and hostel days. A lot of people have been comparing ‘Chhichhore’ to ‘3 Idiots’ because of their similar plots. However, the movie holds its own in terms of relieving the 90s nostalgia. ‘Chhichhore’ is the story of six college friends who meet again years later due to an unfortunate incident.

When the media asked Nitesh on whether he is expecting the film to enter the 100-crore club, he said, “We are really happy with the audience's love for the film, and that's enough for us. I don't think much about money because there will be times when your film will work at the box-office and there will be times when your film will not work at the box-office.
