Complaint filed against Anupam Kher and makers of 'The Accidental Prime Minister' in Muzaffarpur court, details inside
A petition has been filed in the CJM court in Muzzafarpur against the controversial film 'The Accidental Prime Minister'. It has come to light that the case has been filed by a complainant against Anupam Kher and fourteen other artists.

A petition has been filed in the CJM court in Muzaffarpur against the controversial film The Accidental Prime Minister. The complaint has been filed by one lawyer named Sudhir Kumar Ojha. It has come to light that the case has been filed by the complainant against Anupam Kher and fourteen other artists along with five others in court.
The stated reason for the petition is that the promos of the film that has come out so far might compromise the country's security, according to the complainant. Not only that, but he also argues that it is an attempt to malign the clean and dignified image of former Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh. Moreover, Mr Ojha also claims that the image of prominent political figures like Rahul Gandhi, Sonia Gandhi, Lalu Prasad Yadav, Sushma Swaraj, L.K. Advani and many others has been altered.
Based on these claims, a complaint has been filed in the Muzaffarpur court on January 3rd under IPC 295,153,153A, 293, 504, 506 and 120B. The court has registered the case and has announced the hearing date as 8th January. Also, this is not the first time that the film has run into some controversy.
The Maharashtra State Youth Congress had objected to the trailer of ‘The Accidental Prime Minister’ and had demanded a special screening. In a letter that was addressed to the film's producers Sunil Bohra and Dhaval Gada, the President of the organisation Satyajeet Tambe Patil had stated the facts have been tampered with in the trailer. Moreover, a demand had also been made for a special screening of the film for the office bearers of the Maharashtra State Youth Congress and if there is 'unfactual scenes or story', then it should be edited or deleted.
The Accidental Prime Minister is all set to release on January 11, 2019.
