Salman Khan is known for his physical fitness and is always seen talking about the importance of being fit. The Bollywood megastar has allegedly revealed that he had to transform his physique to fit for the role of his movies that released within a short span of time from each other. According to reports, Khan had to first lose weight and then gain it again for two of his movies. His transformation over the years has been nothing short of inspirational.
In a throwback picture posted by the Dabangg star, a very young and lean looking Salman can be seen. Salman wore a light coloured shirt and light blue denim jeans. Comparing the picture to any of his recent posts, it is clear how much the star has worked on his physique. There’s a drastic change from his throwback picture to his recent one.
Salman, while discussing his toughest role revealed to a reputed media house that Sultan was the most challenging movie for him, physically. He added that if he wasn’t shooting, he was at the gym. About the movie, he allegedly said that the role was very demanding, and as an actor, it was challenging to keep gaining and losing weight. He supposedly stated that he had to continue gaining and losing weight for the role for a long time.
After Sultan, Salman was seen opposite Katrina Kaif in Bharat. He reportedly played the role of a person aged between different age groups (25-70 years). In order to look convincing, the megastar had to keep losing and gaining weight. In a still posted by Khan on his social media, Katrina and Salman are seen riding a scooter in their movie Bharat. Salman looks significantly leaner in the shot than what he did in Sultan.
Khan has been shooting for the third installment of the Dabangg franchise- Dabangg 3. He is seen going to the set on a bicycle in order to get some exercise before the shoot. It is reported that Dabangg 3 is a prequel of the movies and hence a part of it requires Salman to look really young. He has posted videos on his Instagram account of him going to the set on a bicycle. In the video posted online, Salman is seen riding the bicycle on the busy streets of Mumbai in the rains.
The star has been a fitness inspiration for many, including Dabangg co-star Sonakshi Sinha. In an interview, Sinha allegedly revealed that Khan told her to get in shape because he wanted her to be a part of the Dabangg franchise. She also said that he motivated her and encouraged her to stay fit. Dabangg 3 is slated to hit the theatres on December 20, 2019. The movie is directed by Prabhu Deva and produced by Arbaaz Khan and Salman Khan Films production house.
