David Dhawan mourns Kader Khan, says he was a pivotal part of his career, details inside

The year of 2019 has started off for Bollywood on a really tragic note. One of the most veteran and legendary actors in the industry, Kader Khan is no more. Now, at this sad time, David Dhawan expresses his thoughts for their working relationship was truly something else.

The year of 2019 has started off for Bollywood on a really tragic note. One of the most veteran and legendary actors in the industry, Kader Khan is no more. He breathed his last on December 31 at a hospital in Canada and the news was confirmed by his son. Now, at this sad time, David Dhawan expresses his thoughts for their working relationship was truly something else.

Speaking about the same, the filmmaker said that he is very sad about this news. Not only that but that he received the news at 5 in the morning. However, he also believes that he is in a more peaceful place as Kader was suffering due to his ailments. Coming to his professional relationship with him, David had lots to say. 

Talking about that, the 'Judwaa 2' director said that he has had a very long working relationship with him. In fact, he feels that Kader was a pivotal part of his career and that he was instrumental in his success as a director. Of course, he also went on about how amazing he is as an actor, writer and a human being in general. David concluded his take by calling Mr Khan as his hero.

The director's son and actor Varun Dhawan also had some things to say on this sad day. He said that his father has told him stories about how Kader Khan used to write scenes, help actors on set and take care of everything. He also took to social media to express his sadness. Taking to Twitter, he wrote, "RIP #KaderKhan saab. One of my inspirations and a truly iconic actor, writer and stage artists. His contribution to my father's cinema was limitless just like his talent. You will truly be missed by everyone."
