Outfits:

Konkani rituals: For the customs on the first day, Ranveer was dressed in a crisp white shirt and a golden dhoti. Deepika wore a red and golden saree.

Sindhi rituals:  On the second day, the couple was colour-co-ordinated in red and golden ethnic outfits, a sherwani and a saree respectively for Ranveer and Deepika.

Custom symbols

Konkani rituals: Ranveer is seen with the Mundavli on his forehead. Deepika is seen holding the ‘Shagun ki thali’, which is considered a symbol of her transformation into a married woman. The thali consisted of haldi, kumkum and two white roses. Deepika’s Mundavli is also seen on it. It also consists of the rose water with ittar fragrance to signal the start of fragrant married life for the couple. The couple is also seen wearing the dark red flower garlands, which is considered one of the major rituals after they exchange the rings.

Sindhi rituals: Ranveer has worn a Sehra matching his outfit on his head. Deepika’s dupatta has ‘Sada Saubhagyawati Bhava’ mantra inscribed on it, which loosely translates to 'Have a blessed destiny always'.

Mehendi:

The Mehendi is evidently dark, almost as much as the colour of love. They say the deeper the colour, the stronger is the love between the couple.

Jewellery:

Konkani rituals: From head-to-toe, Deepika has adorned Kundan jewellery or temple jewellery which consists of the Matha-patti above the forehead along with three gold and stones necklaces and jhumkas as earrings. Ranveer’s gold ring is visible and it has a sacred thread tied to it. The ring apparently is gifted to him by the bride’s family.

Sindhi rituals: Deepika is seen wearing the red choodas and the kaliras, the jewelery on her hands. Her look is completed by the ‘maang tikka’ on her forehead and the nath, the jewel that connects her ear to the nose. Her engagement ring on her ring finger, a square-shaped diamond, is the one that stands out from her Kundan jewellery and that is obviously a huge rock. Ranveer ’s jewellery features red and gold bead kundan neckpieces, with stones.

The nuptials took place at the Villa del Balbianello at Lake Como, Italy on November 14 and 15. The Sangeet and the Mehendi had taken place a day prior to it. The newlyweds are set to host receptions in Mumbai and Bengaluru later this month.
