Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh celebrate their first wedding anniversary today on November 14, 2019. On the occasion of their anniversary, the star couple visited the Tirupati Temple today and pictures from their visit to the temple have gone viral online. The couple worked on several movies together before they got married and they will be seen together on screen for the first time after marriage in the upcoming film '83. Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela

Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela was a 2013 romantic tragedy and was the first film where Deepika and Ranveer were co-stars. The movie tells the story of two rival families that are competing in the illegal firearms market. Ranveer's Ram and Deepika's Leela inadvertently fall in love and the movie then shifts to the violent and tragic conflicts that arise due to the romance between the two. The movie was positively reviewed by critics and fans upon its release, with Ranveer and Deepika's acting being praised the most. The chemistry between the two was also in full display in the film. Commercially, the movie made an impressive ₹220 crores for a relatively small budget of ₹48 crores. 

Bajirao Mastani

Bajirao Mastani was a 2015 epic historical romance film directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali. The movie starred Ranveer, Deepika and Priyanka Chopra in the leading roles. It tells a dramatized version of the real-life events that transpired during the rule of the Peshwa Bajirao I. The movie depicts the events that caused the Bajirao and Mastani to fall in love in defiance of all the royal customs that existed during that era. The film depicts the love triangle that forms between Bajirao, Mastani and Bajirao's first wife Kashibai. The movie was critically praised for its sets, costumes, cinematography and acting. At the Box Office, it made around ₹356 crores for a budget of ₹145 crores.

Padmaavat

Padmaavat is the second historical drama film that Ranveer and Deepika have worked in. The movie was released in 2018 and was directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali once again. It is one of the most expensive Indian films ever made with a budget of ₹215 crores. The movie is loosely based on the poem Padmavat, which itself is based on the legendary historical events that occurred during the life of the Rajput Queen, Padmavati. This time, Ranveer plays the role of the antagonist Alauddin Khilji, a ruler of the Khilji dynasty, who wanted to capture Padmavati after hearing about her legendary beauty. Shahid Kapoor plays the role of Ratan Singh, the husband of Padmavati and the ruler of the kingdom of Mewar. The film made an impressive ₹585 crores at the box office, making it one of the highest-grossing Indian films of all time.
