Forthcoming ventures

On the professional front, the Ram-Leela actor will reunite with her husband in Kabir Khan’s ’83. The couple last worked together in Bajirao Mastani and  Padmaavat. Padukone will play the role of Kapil Dev’s wife Romi Dev in the sports drama film.

On the other hand, Deepika Padukone will portray an acid attack survivor in her upcoming film Chhapaak. The actor will star alongside Vikrant Massey in the Meghna Gulzar’s directorial film. Inspired by the life of survivor Laxmi Aggarwal, Chhapaak is scheduled to theatrically release on January 10, 2020.
