Chennai Express collected over Rs. 314 crores across the world. Reports also say that the film surpassed the box office collection of 3 Idiots and become the highest-grossing Bollywood film worldwide in that year.

2. Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani (2013)

Helmed by Ayan Mukerji, Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani is reported to be fans’ favourite movie even today. The film chronicles the story of four friends Kabir (Ranbir Kapoor), Naina (Deepika Padukone), Aditi (Kalki ) and Avi ( Aditya Roy Kapoor) and their amicable bond and trustworthy friendship through the years. According to reports, Deepika’s film Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani went on to become one of the highest-grossing Indian films of all time. Trade analyst Taran Adarsh in a tweet said, "#YehJawaaniHaiDeewani Fri 19.45 cr, Sat 20.16 cr, Sun 22.5 cr, Mon 13 cr, Tue 12 cr. Total: 87.11 cr. MONSTROUS HIT!."

3. Bajirao Mastani ( 2015)

Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s directorial Bajirao Mastani was a major commercial success. The action-drama stars Deepika and Ranveer in lead roles. The National Award-winning film has reportedly grossed over Rs. 356 crores at the box office, once again, becoming one of the highest-grossing Indian films of all time.
