As the 10-day-long Ganesh festival comes to an end, Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone visits Lalbaugcha Raja in Mumbai to offer her prayers to Lord Ganesha. The actress wore a stunning peach heavy Sabyasachi saree and paired it with traditional earrings. She completed her look with hair tied in a bun and with minimal makeup. Before Deepika, Amitabh Bachchan, Ambanis, Swara Bhasker and many more were spotted at the majestic Lalbaugcha Raja Ganesh pandal for darshan. Take a look at the video and pictures from the venue -

On the professional front: 

Deepika Padukone will next be seen in Chhapak'. The 33-year-old actor will essay the role of Laxmi, who at the age of 15, was attacked allegedly by a spurned lover in 2005. Laxmi had to undergo several surgeries. Later, she took up the job of helping acid attack survivors and promoted campaigns to stop such attacks. Her attacker, a 32-year old man, was an acquaintance of her family. Laxmi is a well-known advocate of stricter punishments in acid attack cases.

The film is being helmed by Meghna Gulzar and also stars Vikrant Massey. It is being co-produced by Deepika and Fox Star Studios.

Meanwhile, Ranveer and Deepika were in London a few days back shooting for the movie ‘83’, where he is playing the role of the Indian Cricket Captain Kapil Dev, who lifted the first World Cup for India. Deepika is playing the role of Kapil Dev’s wife Romi Dev. It is the first time the duo is sharing screen space after ‘Bajirao Mastani’ since, in ‘Padmaavat’, they didn’t have any scenes together.‘83’ is gearing up for release on April 10, 2020.
