The field of Indian cinema is flourishing not only because of Bollywood but because of the glorious contribution of the regional cinemas. The Punjabi film industry is especially developing at a rapid pace due to some critically acclaimed films and performances. Some of the actors who have carved a niche in the Punjabi film industry have also attracted the eyes of the Bollywood filmmakers in the earlier times. This has led to some Punjabi actors foray into the Bollywood film industry. Their performances in their Bollywood films have been well-received by the viewers.

Diljit Dosanjh

Diljit is surely one of those actors who is making the Punjabi film industry proud. The actor made his Bollywood debut with the film Udta Punjab opposite Shahid Kapoor and Alia Bhatt. Since then there was no looking back for the actor. He then went on to charm the audience in Bollywood films like Arjun Patiala, Phillauri and Soorma. He will soon be seen in the film, Good Newzz opposite Akshay Kumar, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Kiara Advani. 

Amy Virk 

Amy is a prominent actor in the Punjabi film industry. He has delivered some impressive performances in films like Nikka Zaildar, Harjeeta and Angrej. The actor is even a talented singer. Therefore it is no surprise that he will soon be making his Bollywood debut in the film 83 opposite Ranveer Singh. He will be essaying the role of cricketer Balwinder Sadhu in the film.

Neeru Bajwa

The actor is one of the most celebrated actors in the Punjabi film industry. She has done many acclaimed Punjabi films like Sardaar Ji, Laung Laichi and Shadaa. The actor has however made her mark in the Hindi film industry too. She was seen in films like Phoonk 2, Prince and Special Chabbis in the Hindi film industry.
