Ayushmann Khurrana, who is known for his versatility as an actor has garnered immense appreciation for his recent outing 'Dream Girl' that has hit the theaters on Friday, September 13. The film which has been lauded widely by the audience and critics made a heroic start at the box office. Trade Analyst Taran Adarsh revealed that the film has attained a remarkable feat emerging as his biggest opener to date.

'Dream Girl' unstoppable: 

In a recent Twitter post, Adarsh revealed that 'Dream Girl' has opened with a bang and has collected over 16 crores on the second day, and thus the total box office collection for two days is 26 crores. 

The comedy-drama 'Dream Girl' features Ayushmann Khurrana as a Tele caller who aces his female alter ego Pooja while calling his customers. The film takes interesting turns as his customers eventually fall for him, unaware of his originality and come down to pulling each other's hair. Filmmaker Raaj Shaandilyaa made his directorial debut with 'Dream Girl'. Besides Ayushmann Khurrana, the film also stars Nushrat Bharucha, Annu Kapoor, Manjot Singh, and Vijay Raaz among others in the lead.

Other projects: 

Besides 'Dream Girl', Ayushmann Khurrana also has a number of films in the pipeline for release. He will be starring in 'Bala', 'Gulabo Sitabo' and, 'Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan' and all three films are set for a 2020 release.
However, the trailer for 'Bala' is out and has been much in the news as it did not have Yami Gautam in it. The actress will be sharing the screen with Ayushmann, again, after their 2012 debut, Vicky Donor.

According to sources, Yami Gautam will play the character of a supermodel from Lucknow. As of now, the actress has not done a black comedy film before. In a recent interview, Yami Gautam said, "There have been challenges and downfalls. But that is how the industry works. Bringing together everything that is expected of you, is more important to me than anything else." The cast of Bala has wrapped the shooting of their film in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. The movie is slated for a release on 22nd November 2019
