Ekta Kapoor has filed a police complaint with the Juhu police in Mumbai regarding a theft from her bag recently.
According to reports, the television and film producer found Rs 60,000 was missing out of Rs 1.5 lakh that she was carrying in the bag. She approached the police and registered a complaint last Saturday, after which an FIR has been filed under Indian Penal Code (IPC) section 379.
The news was confirmed by an assistant commissioner of police who hinted that one of the employees working at her bungalow in Juhu could be behind the crime. According to reports, three police officers have been tasked to investigate the matter and five suspects have been named including the driver and the domestic help.
The cops have quizzed the suspects and taken a note of their account details to keep a check if the money gets deposited to it. No arrests have been made yet, though none of the suspects has got a clean chit yet. The team is also going through the CCTV to check if someone apart from the employees entered the bungalow at the time mentioned in the complaint. Ekta is yet to react on the theft.
