Farah Khan: Different roles donned by the celebrity over the years

If you have danced to the tunes of 'Pehla Nasha' from Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar, in your childhood, you would be familiar with Farah Khan, the woman who made Aamir Khan dance to her tunes for the song. A popular face of the entertainment industry Khan has dabbled a lot of roles in Bollywood in her career spanning three decades. Here are the different hats donned by the celebrity over the years. 

A. Choreographer 

Farah Khan started her career with Aamir Khan starrer Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar. Khan, in a media interview, revealed how she unexpectedly ended up being a choreographer. The actor also revealed from the start of her career she always aspired to be a director. 

B. Director 

Farah Khan made her directorial debut in 2004 with Main Hoon Na. The movie, starring Shah Rukh Khan, Zayed Khan and Sushmita Sen in the lead, was a box office hit. The director since then has donned the director's hat for Om Shaanti Om and Happy New Year. The director in a tete-a-tete with leading news daily revealed the struggles she faced in putting together her first directorial, Main Hoon Na. Khan revealed how nervous she was to call the first shoot the film, but, her determination and passion led her to complete the movie. The movie incidentally turned out to be the highest grosser of the year.

C. Producer 

Farah along with her husband Shirish Kunder set-up a production house named Three's Company in 2010. The production banner's first movie, Tees Maar Khan turned to a box office debacle. But, Khan and her husband did not let the failure of the movie deterred their vision. The couple then went on to produce their second movie, Joker, in 2012, which also failed to impress the audience. 

D. Judging 

Farah Khan made her Television debut with Sony Tv's Indian Idol in 2004. The director was seen judging the show with Anu Malik and Sonu Nigam. Farah judged the show for seven seasons. Other than Indian Idol, the director has judged shows like Nach Baliye, Just Dance, India's Got Talent, among others.

E. Hosting

Farah Khan made her hosting debut with her Chat show- Tere Mere Beach Mein. The show telecasted on Star Plus was a chat show that featured popular Bollywood Celebrities like Shah Rukh Khan, Asin, Hrithik Roshan, Shahid Kapoor, among others. Other than the chat show, the director had also hosted a special segment in the Eighth season of the popular reality show Bigg Boss.
