Gadar 2 Box Office Collection: Will Sunny Deol film beat Baahubali 2 record?

Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel's action-packed film Gadar 2 is setting its sights on achieving the lifetime box office collection of SS Rajamouli's epic Baahubali 2: The Conclusion in its Hindi version. Following a successful run, Gadar 2 amassed Rs 284.63 crore in its first week and Rs 134.47 crore in its second week. The film continued its impressive performance in its third week, grossing around Rs 7.10 crore on Friday, Rs 13.75 crore on Saturday, Rs 16.10 crore on Sunday, and Rs 4.50 crore on Monday. The Monday earnings were the film's lowest collection since release. Here's how the film fared on its third Tuesday.

Gadar 2 picks up the pace on third Tuesday

According to industry tracker Sacnilk, Gadar 2 collected Rs 5.09 crore on Tuesday. Its total collection now stands at Rs 465.74 crore. On August 29, the film maintained an overall occupancy rate of 17.86% across its screenings. The film saw the highest audience turnout in cities like Chennai (31.75%), Delhi-National Capital Region (21.50%), Pune (21.25%), Ahmedabad (20.50%), Chandigarh (17.75%), Mumbai (16.75%), and Bengaluru (15.75%).

The film is now eyeing to cross the lifetime box office collection of Baahubali 2: The Conclusion (Hindi language). The SS Rajamouli directorial earned a substantial total of Rs 510.99 crore during its theatrical run at the domestic box office.

Prior to this feat, Gadar 2 had already exceeded the lifetime box office earnings of KGF: Chapter 2 in its Hindi version. The latter collected a total of Rs 435.33 crore domestically. 

Gadar 2 is on a record-breaking spree at BO

Ever since its release, Gadar 2 has been on a record-breaking spree at the box office. The Sunny Deol starrer opened to an impressive Rs 40.10 crore to become the second-biggest opener of the year after Pathaan. It then minted Rs 55.4 crore to become the highest-grosser ever on Independence Day. The film recently became the fastest Hindi movie to cross the Rs 450 crore mark at the domestic box office. Previously, the only two other films that have managed to cross the coveted mark in India were Pathaan and Baahubali 2.
