Gadar 2: Ruckus ensues at Noida theatre after projector malfunctions during screening

A video from Gadar 2 screening in Noida has gone viral wherein cops had to intervene after moviegoers caused a ruckus due to a projector malfunction.

Gadar 2 starring Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel as the main leads has been performing well at the box office. The movie has been shattering records since day 1 of its release and emerged as the second-highest Bollywood opener after Pathaan in 2023. However, its screening at a theatre in Noida, Uttar Pradesh turned out to be an unpleasant experience for the viewers.

Ruckus ensues at Noida theatre during Gadar 2 screening

Reportedly, the projector at Noida's Logix Mall malfunctioned during the screening of Gadar 2 which led to a ruckus among the cinemagoers. The situation got out of control at the cinema hall, following which police had to intervene. A video of the same has been doing the rounds on the internet. Moviegoers could be seen surrounding cops and questioning the situation.

The police officers were seen managing the situation and pacifying the crowd to bring the situation under control. The team even apologised for the inconvenience caused by them and also promised to refund the full amount to the audience members. A similar incident earlier took place at Prasad Cinema in Bareilly wherein two intoxicated people caused a stampede-like situation in the theatre.

Sunny Deol on Gadar 2 legacy

Sunny Deol talked about the film and shared his views on the sequel to his hit film Gadar. He told ANI that Gadar 2 will carry on the legacy built by the film back in 2001. He further added, "It's a blessing to be able to bring back one of India's most loved family film. At its heart the film would always be an inspiring epic story of love, courage and patriotism. Hope the world welcomes Tara and Sakina again with open arms."
