Gully Boy: Assam Police's latest barb against internet scam has a Ranveer Singh connection, take a look

While fans can't stop gushing over the Ranveer Singh's newly discovered rapping skills, looks like the Assam Police is also inspired by the upcoming rap drama 'Gully Boy'.

The 'Gully Boy' fever has taken the internet by storm as Ranveer Singh's rap-packed film is soon to hit the theatres. While fans can't stop gushing over the actor's newly discovered rapping skills, looks like the Assam Police is also very much inspired by the rap drama.

Assam Police on Wednesday, February 13, took a dig on cyber-crime with a 'Gully' spin. They shared a poster of featuring the lead pair Ranveer and Alia Bhatt, that read: "Jab Jab Gullible boy internet par scam kiya jayega apna time ayega". They also penned a couple of lines of a rap-verse being inspired by Ranveer's upcoming venture and shared the post on its official Twitter handle.  

Sharing a poster of 'Gully Boy' starring Ranveer and Alia Bhatt, they wrote, "Internet ki gully / Mayaa jaal hai pyaare / Muft haath aaye / Wo ye maal hai pyaare. Yahan scammers ke sare sardar hain na / Ginti me jo ye sare beshumar hain na. Tumko ab ye sab samjhaana hai / Sunkar bole @RanveerOfficial, O ye to mera wala gaana hai! "

Directed by Zoya Akhtar, 'Gully Boy' tells the story of an aspiring rapper. However, since success comes easy for none, the boy who is from a humble beginning has to struggle his way up to the heights of fame.

The film has already raised the expectations of the audience with its rap-packed trailer and a splendid performance of the lead pair in the preview. Ranveer, who will take up the role of a street rapper in the upcoming venture was seen acing the rapping skills all through the teaser, trailer and the tracks of the film. Alia will take up the role of his love interest in the upcoming venture. It will be co-produced by Zoya Akhtar's Tiger Baby and Farhan Akhtar's Excel Entertainment productions.

Recently, the film premiered at the Berlin International Film Festival and seems like not only Indian fans but the international audience is also impressed by the rap-drama. The initial reviews of the film gave a huge thumbs up to the upcoming venture and praised the actors for their extraordinary performance. 'Gully Boy' is all set for a theatrical release on Thursday, February 14, 2019.
