Has Deepika Padukone agreed to a superhero movie in Hollywood?

Deepika Padukone has not only been completely reigning the Bollywood film industry but has also left the audience in Hollywood in awe. The actor made her international debut in the 2017 movie xXx: Return of the Xander Cage. She starred alongside Vin Diesel and played the character of Serena Unger.

According to a report by a leading daily, Deepika has reportedly stated that she signed for a massive superhero movie. The actor will get a chance to perform some major action sequences. These action scenes are supposed to be new for Deepika and fans will see Deepika in a completely new avatar. Fox Star will be producing the movie, though it is yet untitled. Deepika also claimed that she is quite excited about the movie.

Deepika has been reportedly working on various different projects in the West. In an interview with a news portal, Deepika has talked about how she is well aware of her home and her roots, and that no number of Hollywood movies will change it. She said that Hollywood is another chance for her to extend her creativity and her capabilities when it comes to her work. She also revealed that Hollywood has always proven to be a platform where people from different parts of the world come together to share their stories.

Talking about her upcoming projects, the Padmaavat actor shared how many people ask her to do another Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani. She talked about how the film industry is increasingly moving from the romance genre to biopics. Deepika herself will be playing the role of Romi Bhatia, Kapil Dev’s wife in the upcoming movie ’83. Kapil Dev will be played by her beau and actor Ranveer Singh.

Deepika Padukone is currently in works with Chhapaak, which is a biopic on the acid-attack survivor Malti. Deepika’s first look in the movie was shared by the actor on her Instagram. The movie will be released in January 2020. It is directed by the Raazi director Meghna Gulzar.
