Here's how many man hours went into making Priyanka Chopra's regal wedding lehenga, Sabyasachi reveals

They opted for Sabyasachi's traditional attires for the Hindu wedding ceremony. Now, the famed designer has shared outstanding details of what behind the making of their wedding outfits.

Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas who got married in two separate ceremonies at the Umaid Bhavan Palace in Jaipur, made sure each one was as magical as the other. While the couple opted for Ralph Lauren for the Christian wedding as they hold a special history with the product, they opted for Sabyasachi's traditional attires for the Hindu wedding ceremony. Now, the famed designer has shared outstanding details of what behind the making of their wedding outfits.

Sharing a picture of the happy couple from their 2 December wedding, Sabyasachi called Priyanka's lehenga a modern masterpiece and he had good reason to back his claim. He revealed that it was a custom-made outfit for the occasion which consisted of hand-cut organza flowers, French knots in silk floss, delicate Siam-red crystals and intricate layers of embroidery. Not only that, but it took a whopping 110 craftsmen from Kolkata and over 3720 man hours to ensure its completion. Coming to her jewellery, Sabyasachi revealed that it was made of uncut diamonds as an ode to the Mughal era.

As for Nick's attire, it was a hand-quilted silk sherwani which was coupled with a hand-woven chikan dupatta. The groom had also adorned a diamond necklace which came from the designer's heritage collection. Well, with such intricacy and attention to detail, it seems like the designer has outdone himself yet again and there is no surprise that he has always been a celeb favourite when it comes to traditional wear. In fact, his popularity has spread as far as Hollywood as he had also designed outfits for Oprah Winfrey no less and the international icon had paid a visit to his store.

Coming to the newlyweds, the couple's pictures from their fairytale wedding came out recently and has since gone viral on social media. The duo has since left from Jodhpur and is currently in Delhi, where they'll be hosting their first wedding reception.
