Hrithik Roshan is a Bollywood actor who is well known for his amazing dance moves and a distinctive way of dialogue delivery. The star recently revealed that he would be finally entering into Hollywood. Hrithik accounts for a good amount of Bollywood blockbusters but there are certain movies that he rejected which turned out to be a super hit later. Dil Chahta Hai

Dil Chahta Hai created a major buzz amongst the youth when it released in 2001. The movie was a comedy-drama based on the theme of modern relationships of love and friendship. It is written and directed by the then debutant Farhan Akhtar. The movie was written by Farhan keeping Hrithik specifically in mind to play Siddharth's role. But when Hrithik declined the script, Saif Ali Khan was roped in as his replacement and Akshaye Khanna was cast to play Siddharth with the roles completely revamped. It turned out to be a massive hit post its release. The movie has gained a cult status over the years.

Rang De Basanti

Hrithik has been quite picky when it comes to his roles. It is believed that he rejected the 2006 blockbuster Rang De Basanti as Aamir Khan was already signed by the film's makers for the role of 'DJ' which Hrithik was specifically keen on playing. The role of  Karan/Bhagat Singh did not suit him, which was then bagged by the Tamil star Sidharth.

Swades

After Lagaan turning out to be a huge success in 2001, the film's director Ashutosh Gowariker offered Aamir Khan the titular role of his next movie Swades to Aamir Khan as well as Hrithik Roshan. However, both the actors rejected the offer. Later, Shahrukh Khan gave life to Mohan Bhargava’s role. Though the film wasn’t a big hit, it has gained a cult status over the years.

Main Hoon Na

We would have witnessed another brotherly pairing on-screen between Shahrukh Khan and Hrithik Roshan after Kabhie Khushi Kabhie Gham (2001), had Hrithik not turned down Farah Khan’s offer to play the role of Lucky in her first directorial venture, Main Hoon Naa. Farah is said to have been sceptical of justifying two big names in the same plot. Later, Hrithik’s brother-in-law Zayed Khan played the role of Lucky. The film was a huge success at the box office.
