With all due respect to Shweta Bachchan Nanda, it wouldn’t be wrong to say that she was the least popular Bachchan a few years ago, but not anymore. As the Bachchan daughter turns 45 on Sunday, she received some adorable wishes from expected quarters like Amitabh and Abhishek as well as unexpected ones like Deepika Padukone and Katrina Kaif.

With all due respect to Shweta Bachchan Nanda, it wouldn’t be wrong to say that she was the least popular Bachchan a few years ago, but not anymore. In the last year or so, she featured in an advertisement (now pulled down) with her father Amitabh Bachchan, published her book, launched a fashion label and more. As the Bachchan daughter turns 45 on Sunday, she received some adorable wishes from expected quarters like her family members as well as unexpected ones like Deepika Padukone and Katrina Kaif.
Amitabh Bachchan shared a beautiful 'before and after' collage featuring black-and-white snaps of him and Jaya Bachchan with a little Shweta, and a recent one of the trio looking their traditional best. Big B had an adorable birthday wish, “Happy birthday to the best daughter in the World .. how beautifully you have grown.”
The birthday girl replied, “Pa. I love you sooo much. You give me so much strength xx.” (sic)
Abhishek shared a cute and hilarious black-and-white snap of him with his sister, where he has ice-cream all over his face. The actor quipped about it and wrote, “Happy birthday to the big sis!! Thankfully, my hand-mouth coordination has improved since then!!! Have a wonderful day and an ever better year, Shwetdi. Love you.”
Shweta disagreed but had an interesting reply nonetheless, “Love you baby brother. Your coordination is still suspect. You owe me an ice cream on the beach.”
Deepika Padukone and Katrina Kaif also seem to be fans of Shweta as they used terms in the superlative degree for the birthday girl, calling her ‘most favourite person’ and ‘best.’
Preity G Zinta and Esha Deol were among the others who wished Shweta.
