Life of Pi

Here Irrfan Khan is seen playing the role of Pi Patel, who is being interviewed years after his famous survival journey of being lost in the sea for days. The film had some very realistic special effects that included a glowing whale and the expanse of the sea. Irrfan certainly did an applaudable job at portraying the pain behind losing a family in an accident. The film was released in the year 2012 and was directed by Ang Lee.

Qarib Qarib Singlle

This romantic-comedy film gives the audience a new, unimaginable character to look at. Irrfan is seen playing the role of Yogi, a 35-year-old talkative poet. The film revolves around Jaya Shashidharan who finds yogi on an Internet dating website. The film got an average rating of 7.2 out of 10 on Rotten Tomatoes and Irrfan’s character got a lot of critical appreciation.

The Lunchbox

Here Irrfan plays the role of Saajan Fernandes who gets into a very unusual friendship with a married woman when their tiffins got exchanged by a carrier service. Nimrat Kaur is playing the role of Ila and the combination of the two veteran actors gives the film a very strong dramatic hold to it. The film was Irrfan’s high grossing film until Hindi Medium managed to surpass it.
