Some of the biggest names in the world like Sylvester Stallone have been a victim of death hoaxes and many of our Indian celebrities like Amitabh Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and more have not been spared of it either. Many like Suresh Raina and Ayushmann Khurrana even came out and cleared the air themselves that they are alive. The latest celebrity to fall under this category is Mumtaz. Her daughter has clarified that the yesteryear actress is doing fine in London. Veteran trade analyst Komal Nahta, who had posted the news, also apologised for his mistake.

Tanya Madhvani wrote on Instagram with a video, “So exhausting another rumor of my mother’s death. She is healthy and looking beautiful as always and has asked me to let her fans know she is well ! It’s all rubbish 😘.”

In a video, she says, “Hi, this is just a post to say that my mother is fine. She’s in London.”

She also says ‘Kamal Nath’ started the rumours, but it seems she hinted at trade analyst Komal Nahta.  He had earlier apologised for his post, due to the reports in the trade circle, and added that the actress is doing fine.

Tanya concluded, “Do not listen to them and she’s sending her love and kiss.”

Similarly, around the same time last year, reports of Mumtaz being unwell ‘etc’ had surfaced. Tanya had then too posted a video to clear the air.

The actress too sent out a special video then on how she found it odd that many were worried about her after many years, but adding that she was fortunate for the love since many years and that she was doing well and not ‘lonely’ as it was reported.

Mumtaz was among the most popular actresses of the 60s and 70.
