In a big news today, Trade analyst and film critic Taran Adarsh took to his Twitter account to announce the release dates of two big films — 'Pati Patni aur Woh' and 'Panipat'.

He wrote: "Release date confirmed... #PatiPatniAurWoh - starring Kartik Aaryan, Bhumi Pednekar and Ananya Pandey - to release on 6 Dec 2019... Directed by Mudassar Aziz... Produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Renu Chopra and Juno Chopra." [sic]

'Pati Patni Aur Woh' is a remake of the 1978 film with the same title that featured Sanjeev Kumar, Vidya Sinha and Ranjeeta Kaur in the lead roles. Ananya will be essaying the role of Ranjeeta Kaur and Bhumi will play Kartik's wife, which was originally played by Vidya Sinha.

Earlier the film was stated to release on January 10, 2020.

Meanwhile, Ashutosh Gowariker's historical drama 'Panipat: The Great Betrayal' starring Arjun, Kriti Sanon and Sanjay Dutt in the lead roles will also release on December 6.

Arjun will be playing the role of Sadashivrao Bhau in the film who served as the Sardar Senapati (Commander-in-Chief) of the Maratha army during the third battle of Panipat.
Talking about his look and why he's hiding it, he said: "We are hiding my look because Ashutosh (Gowariker) Sir feels that when I'll be presented in the role of Peshwa in front of the audience, that time it should create maximum amount of impact. I think Neeta Lulla (designer) has done a really good work for my look in terms of costumes so, I wanted to come out the way it should and that's what even Ashutosh Sir wants. It is a really exciting film. So far, we have completed 60 per cent of the film. We will complete remaining shooting of the film in the next two months and by the end of the year, people will be able to see my look in the film."

Arjun also added, "When you are busy in a shooting environment that time, you don't think about pressure and try to give your best. I am having a lot of fun shooting my first period action film. It's a huge ensemble cast film where we have created really big sets and war sequences so, I am having a lot of fun to submerge myself in that environment because as actors, we live for these moments where we can get lost in another world."

Speaking about the film and its storyline, Shelatkar says, "We’ve never heard of a story of such bravery and magnitude where one army with limited resources travelled a thousand miles to help another in their war with the invaders. The Marathas had no personal motive for fighting alongside the Moghuls against the invading Afghan army led by Ahmad Shah Abdali...But despite Abdali’s victory, he lost a lot more and Afghans never invaded India after this battle. Yes, Bhau sacrificed his life, but there are many reasons that will change the view of not just Maharashtrians, but Indians all over."
