Janhvi Kapoor wraps up the shoot of Gunjan Saxena biopic

Janhvi Kapoor recently wrapped up the shoot of her upcoming film, The Kargil War which is a biopic on the first female Indian Air Force pilot Gunjan Saxena.

Janhvi Kapoor made her Bollywood debut with Dhadak opposite Ishaan Khatter in 2018. The film was directed by Shashank Khaitan and Janhvi's performance was well-received by the viewers. Janhvi is now gearing up for her upcoming film, The Kargil Girl which is a biopic on an Indian Air Force Pilot, Gunjan Saxena. The film also stars Pankaj Tripathi who will essay the role of Gunjan's father while Angad Bedi will be playing her brother. The first look of the film had further raised the anticipation of the film. The film is produced by Karan Johar who had taken to his social media to share the first look of the film.

Janhvi Kapoor wraps up the shoot with an emotional scene

According to media reports, the makers of the film have shot some high octane action sequences in some parts of the country as well as in Georgia. Reportedly, Janhvi wrapped up the shoot of the film after shooting an emotional sequence with her co-star Angad Bedi. The Dhadak girl has reportedly formed an endearing bond with Angad Bedi during the shoot of the film. If media reports are to be believed, the scene will have Angad motivating Janhvi before she heads off to the war zone. Gunjan Saxena is the first female Indian Air Force Pilot and she was also the first Indian woman airforce pilot who had headed for combat in the Kargil War. 

The film, The Kargil Girl is directed by Sharan Sharma

Gunjan Saxena played a pivotal part in evacuating all the injured soldiers of the Kargil War in the year 1999. The film is helmed by Sharan Sharma. The fans are reportedly excited to see Janhvi stepping into the shoes of Gunjan Saxena. Recently the makers had also released the poster of Janhvi Kapoor along with Pankaj Tripathi in the film. The poster beautifully depicted the father-daughter bond. The film is all slated to release on March 13, 2020.
