John Abraham shares his thoughts on being stereotyped with patriotic films

John Abraham is currently gearing up with the release of his next film, Pagalpanti. Directed by Anees Bazmee, the film has an ensemble cast of Anil Kapoor, Urvashi Rautela, Ileana D'Cruz, Arshad Warsi, Pulkit Samrat, Kriti Kharbanda, and Saurabh Shukla along with John. The film is all set to release on November 22, 2019.

John Abraham talks about being stereotyped

In a recent interview with an online entertainment portal, John Abraham spoke about how Akshay Kumar and he are stereotyped for doing patriotic films. He said that sometimes, due to the high popularity that an actor has for a particular genre of films, it might just come to them. He also revealed that he and Akshay Kumar have also laughed about this issue and that it does not affect them in any way. He revealed that he is happy to be a part of such films at a time when being an Indian is held at its highest.

Talking about offensive comedy in films, John Abraham said that if at any given point he feels a bit off about any dialogue or scene from the film, then he decides to completely remove it. John Abraham cannot deal with adult comedy at all. He likes to do a straightforward and clean comedy minus double meanings.

John Abraham also spoke about who he aims to target with his latest movie, Pagalpanti. He said that anyone from the age of 5 to 90 can watch the film and enjoy it. There is nothing offensive or with a double meaning in the film. He also revealed that Pagalpanti has a very positive vibe to it that makes it a good watch for everybody.

John Abraham said that Pagalpanti is a film that can be watched by people of all classes. He also revealed an incident about the same. He hilariously revealed about how he sent his rich class friends to watch an entertainment comedy film of his and how they came back with just laughs.

In the same interview, Anil Kapoor also revealed that although Pagalpanti is an entertainer, it also has a patriotic touch to it and that is different from all the other Anees Bazmee films. He also revealed that people will enjoy the film as well, as it will also make them think.
