Katrina grew close to Ranbir Kapoor while shooting the film, Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani. Katrina apparently further distanced herself from Salman Khan during this phase. According to media reports, there were some instances where Salman Khan took a dig at the Zero actress for her relationship with Ranbir Kapoor. Reportedly, this resulted in bad blood between Salman Khan and Ranbir Kapoor too.

Katrina Kaif and Ranbir Kapoor separated after six years of dating

But, all was not well in Katrina Kaif and Ranbir Kapoor's love story. The couple parted ways after six years of dating. According to media reports, the two shifted out of their Carter Road apartment post their split. The couple had tried to work on their relationship, but somehow that did not work out for them. Reportedly a source close to the couple said that the duo had made peace with the fact that their relationship was heading nowhere. During the last few months of their relationship, there was some tension between the couple, and they could not work out their differences. The other reason for their split was reportedly Ranbir Kapoor's closeness to his ex-girlfriend Deepika Padukone during the shoot of their film Tamasha. Reportedly, Katrina Kaif also revealed in an interview that she hopes that Ranbir Kapoor's choices changes as he evolves.  However, it seems that Katrina Kaif has let bygones be bygones, and the Bharat actress is now good friends with both of her ex-boyfriends from the Bollywood film industry.
