Karan Johar and Kajol’s friendship of many years going kaput a few years back came as a shock to not just the members of the film fraternity, but also their fans. The duo is back to being buddies and it feels nothing changed since then. A trait of the actor-filmmaker's friendship, the pair is again taking digs at each other. When the 'Helicopter Eela' star called him a ‘show-off’ recently, the filmmaker hit back that he was ‘down to earth’ to be interacting with people like her.

Kajol-Karan, which has worked together in three full-fledged films as actor-director, apart from cameos and a production, recently appeared together on ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’ and the goofy camaraderie was there for everyone to see.

During a fun segment, Kajol was asked which ministers of the cabinet she would like to appoint various celebrities as. When asked about KJo, the actress replied, ‘Show-Off Minister’. The filmmaker, known for his wit, was quick in his response, "Am I a show-off? I am so down to earth that I am talking to you."

Not just love, we feel even these kind of fun-filled digs at each other also classifies as 'friendship goals.'

For the unversed, Kajol and KJo have been friends ever since the latter was an assistant director (also actor) on ‘Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge’. They later delivered successes on the director’s first two films ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’, ‘Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham’ and then ‘My Name is Khan’, apart from his production ‘We are Family’. She was often considered his ‘lucky mascot’ and even made cameos in ‘Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna’ and ‘Student of the Year.’

However, they drifted apart around the time Karan’s ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ and Kajol’s husband Ajay Devgn's 'Shivaay' were locked in a box office war during Diwali 2016. The couple expressing shock over an audio clip of Kamaal R Khan claiming KJo paid him 25 lakhs to run down ‘Shivaay’ made matters worse. Karan even wrote about the rift in his autobiography. However, Karan and Kajol patched up after the filmmaker became a father. Even Ajay appeared on ‘Koffee with Karan.’
