The Chandramukhi 2 actress recently stood up for The Vaccine War director Vivek Agnihotri when an X user accused him of "drunk abusing" them. This was part of a larger exchange when Kangana was bashing media portals for allegedly exaggerating The Vaccine War's rather slow box office performance.

Kangana Ranaut took to her X account to respond to a report which tagged Vivek Agnihotri's The Vaccine War, a 'flop'. Amid the thread of comments was an X user who shared how Agnihotri had allegedly "drunk abused" her and hence did not deserve support of any kind from the actress. Ranaut immediately reacted to the claim by stating how she stands by everybody she has continued stand by even if they have been people who have tried to harm her.

The X user's comment read, "Don’t support him my love. Nobody can be more nasty than Vivek Agnihotri. He drunk abused me. He’s far from being an artist...He doesn’t need any empathy especially from a straight shooter like you." Kangana's response to the comment reads, "I stand for every one I stood for even those who did everything in their capacity to ruin me, I stand for better future and collective well being."

Kangana Ranaut's initial string of comments on X was about media portals mercilessly bashing The Vaccine War, shooting off its low box office numbers in the first few days of release. The film currently has not been able to breach even the ₹5 crore mark. Kangana reflected that just numbers cannot be the measure of a films success. She also stated how people who do not know anything about filmmaking, should not be condemning films as failures.
