Kareena Kapoor to star in Ajay Devgn-Deepika Padukone's Singham Again? Actress reacts

Ajay Devgn starrer Singham Again’s filming kicked off on September 16. While Ranveer Singh was present for the first day of the shoot of the movie, the film’s lead actress Deepika Padukone gave it a miss. Now, in a recent interview, Kareena Kapoor has also confirmed her appearance in the upcoming movie.

Kareena Kapoor confirms role in Singham Again

In a conversation with Film Companion, Kareena talked about the new phase in her career where she isn’t worried about the box office numbers and is focusing on exploring herself as an actress. During the same interview, the Jaane Jaan star confirmed she will be a part of Rohit Shetty’s Singham Again. 

Kareena said, “I'm entering a phase which is unknown but I'm super excited. I just want to explore, It's not about the pressure of the box office numbers. Of course, there will be The Crew and there will be Singham and there will be all of that which be whatever the quintessential heroine and Bebo. But I'm just loving just exploring myself as an actor."

Is Arjun Kapoor to play villain in cop universe? 

Meanwhile, Kareena is not the only Kapoor to feature in Singham Again. According to reports, her Ki & Ka co-star Arjun Kapoor has been roped in to play the role of antagonist in the movie. Though there is no official confirmation yet, sources close to the film’s development have told Bollywood Hungama that the Ishaqzaade actor has joined the cop universe. The source revealed that the actor will play the role of villain against the cops. 

What started with Singham in 2011, was followed by Singham Returns in 2014. The cop dramas helmed by Rohit Shetty came to be known as the ‘cop universe’ with the addition of Ranveer Singh’s Simmba and Akshay Kumar’s Sooryanvanshi. With Singham Again, the director will also introduce the first-ever lady cop, played by Deepika Padukone.
