Kareena was last seen in Veere Di Wedding back in 2018. The actor has stayed away from the silver screen for more than a year now and is all set to make a comeback with Good Newwz. The film speaks on surrogacy, a topic which hasn't been portrayed as much in mainstream Hindi cinema, like other socially relevant topics. Audiences reportedly are expecting a complete entertainer with a social message from the film. Karan Johar shared the release date of Good Newwz on account of Akshay Kumar's birthday on September 9, 2019.

Topics like surrogacy are sensitive in nature and require a respectful treatment when portrayed on screen. The director of the film, Raj Mehta worked previously as an assistant director for  Kapoor And Sons. The film dealt with the topic of homosexuality with the utmost respect and garnered critical and commercial success. Good Newwz is promising to be a unique story in Hindi films just like Kapoor And Sons. Interestingly, Kriti Sanon also has a movie coming out about surrogacy titled 'Mimi'. It is refreshing to see commercial actors dive into sensitive topics like these. Akshay dropped a fun video with Kareena, Diljit and Kiara on Instagram.
