Kartik Aaryan-Ananya Panday's fun banter on Salman Khan-Katrina Kaif

Not one or two, Kartik Aaryan is set to star in five films that is either the sequel or a remake of an earlier release. The actor signing the sequels of Dostana and Bhool Bhulaiyaa had made headlines recently, and before that, he had also signed the Hindi remake of Kirik Party, while the much-anticipated film with Sara Ali Khan, too is reportedly the sequel to Love Aaj Kal. His first film in this category, however, would be Pati Patni aur Woh, a modern-day adaptation of the 1978 hit of the same name. The movie has been in the headlines over the past few months, be it Kartik’s moustache or his bonding with Ananya Panday. The duo was seen bantering once again as they unveiled the first posters of the romantic comedy on Tuesday. The interesting bit was that they felt that they looked like Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif.

While Kartik Aaryan’s looks and several stills had made it to social media before, the official posters and the first looks of Bhumi Pednekar and Ananya Panday were shared on Tuesday.  

Sharing her poster, where she is dressed in a yellow sleeveless top and worn sunglasses, Ananya wrote, “Yeh Agneepath hai! Isse koi paar nahi kar paya!!!”

Kartik posted a quirky response, “Ekdum katrina kaif lag rahi ho.” (sic) 

Ananya too responded, “Aap bhi Salman Khan se kam nahi lag rahe ☺”" 

Before this bonding, Kartik and Ananya were even rumoured to be dating when they were spotted together for ‘dates.’ In fact, with Kartik’s co-star Sara Ali Khan also being linked to him, the trio are often asked questions about the other two at media events.

Pati Patni Aur Woh 

Pati Patni Aur Woh has been directed by Mudassar Aziz, who is known for helming the Happy Bhag Jayegi franchise. The movie was earlier scheduled to hit the theatres on January 10, 2020, but it has now been advanced to December 6. Pati Patni Aur Woh has been produced by Bhushan Kumar’s T-Series and BR Chopra’s family. The original film starring Sanjeev Kumar, Vidya Sinha and Ranjeeta Kaur was produced and directed by BR Chopra.
