Karwa Chauth: How Kareena Kapoor Khan, Shilpa Shetty, Ayushmann Khurrana, Celebrated Traditional Custom

As is the norm, Anil and Sunita Kapoor hosted the Karwa Chauth rituals at their residence in Mumbai and invited their close friends for the gathering. Anil’s brother Sanjay Kapoor arrived with wife Maheep Kapoor, Raveena Tandon along with husband Anil Thadani, David Dhawan and Karuna Dhawan, Neelam and Sameer Soni, Chunky and Bhavana Panday, Rishi Kapoor’s sister Rima Jain with Manoj Jain, Anupam Kher and Kirron Kher were those who were seen at the venue for the traditional Indian custom. It was the ladies, who came out in their stylish traditional avatars and easily sidelined their husband in the glamour department while arriving at the venue. Some of the ladies were seen with the ‘pooja thali’ in their hands.

Later, several inside pictures were also shared by Sunita Kapoor on Instagram, where we also see late filmmaker Ravi Chopra’s wife Renu Ravi Chopra, Rashmi Thackeray, wife of Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray, producer Krishika Lulla, Padmini Kolhapure, among others.

 

The star wife’s caption called it a ‘full house’, but she missed someone very important, 'Sri’, Anil’s sister-in-law and co-star of many hits together, legendary actor Sridevi. Pictures of the Karwa Chauth celebrations from last year also started going viral where the ‘Sadma’ star looked beautiful as ever.   

Apart from the Karwa Chauth at Anil Kapoor’s place, there were many others stars who enjoyed the spirit of love for their spouses. Ayushmann had earlier shared a picture of Mehendi on his palm written as 'T' while revealing he was fasting for his wife and not vice versa as the filmmaker recovers from illness. Later, they posted another lovely photograph of them waiting for the moon together to break their fast.

The most indicative of the custom of Karwa Chauth was showcased by Shilpa Shetty Kundra as we see her looking at husband Raj Kundra through the sieve and performing the pooja for him.

Though we didn’t see Saif Ali Khan, Kareena Kapoor Khan, along with Taimur, was also seen at a gathering along with her manager and friend Poonam Damania.
