Lal Singh Chaddha: Everything we know so far about the Aamir Khan film

Lal Singh Chaddha will be Aamir's next film based on oscar-winner 'Forrest Gump'. Read below to find out everything we know about the Hindi remake so far.

Aamir Khan on his 54th birthday spoke at in a press conference about his next film. An official adaptation of Forrest Gump titled Lal Singh Chaddha will release in December 2020. The rights of the original 1994 Oscar-winning film are bought and the remake will be produced by Viacom and Aamir Khan Productions'. Aamir is set to go through a major physical transformation for the film.

Lal Singh Chaddha to be filmed across 100 locations

The film reportedly has a long shooting schedule. Aamir does not believe in depending on studio set-ups and reportedly insists upon working in real-life locations to bring more authenticity to the film. shooting in 100 different locations already makes Lal Singh Chaddha a record-breaker film as no other Hindi film has done it. The film will be shot across Delhi, Gujarat, Mumbai, Kolkata, Bengaluru and Hyderabad. The schedule will also reportedly include locations that Aamir hasn't visited before, making it a way for him to explore the country even further.

Aamir to lose 20 Kgs for the film

Aamir is known to always go the extra mile for his films. The actor went through a drastic weight gain for Dangal which was a critical and commercial success. The actor is all set to go through another physical transformation for Laal Singh Chaddha. The actor is reportedly working with Doctor Nikhil Dhurandhar to lose 20 kgs for the film. The film requires Aamir to have a lean body on which the actor is working.

Aamir's love for Forrest Gump

Aamir reportedly wanted to make the Hindi remake of Forrest Gump since 8 eight years. Aamir believes that the story is life-affirming and feel-good which will resonate with the Indian audience. He has reportedly always loved the film and is excited to give the story an Indian twist. Reportedly, Lal Singh Chaddha will also feature Kareena Kapoor alongside Aamir Khan.
