The movie is directed by Rajesh Krishnan and bankrolled under the banner of Fox Star Studios. The team of the film has reportedly decided to release Lootcase on an OTT platform instead of theatres. Why OTT platform instead of Silver Screens?

Lootcase was supposed to be released in theatres on October 11. However, the makers of the movie came up with an alternate plan, considering the competition from another big-budget film starring Priyanka Chopra and Farhan Akhtar. The Sky is Pink movie is Priyanka Chopra's Bollywood comeback film. The film has already gathered all eyes and Priyanka's fans are already excited about the movie. Reportedly, the trailer of Lootcase had a low buzz from the audience, which made the producers of the movie rethink about releasing the movie in the theatres.

According to sources, the makers of the film had a meeting on Saturday where they decided not to go ahead with the theatrical release of the movie. They have faith in the film but they are also aware that the cast and the budget of the film are not that huge enough to win the audience. More importantly, Lootcase will be clashing with other releases like Hrithik Roshan, Tiger Shroff-starrer War as well as Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy and Joker that released on October 2. Also considering the festive season, when the people are mostly busy shopping for the occasion of Diwali. All these factors would have affected the box office collections of the film. Examining all these aspects, the makers of Lootcase have decided not to release the film in theatres. An official announcement is still to be made regarding this.
