Made In China: Box office collection of Rajkummar Rao’s comedy-film

Made In China starring Rajkummar Rao and Mouni Roy in the pivotal roles is still struggling to make its mark in the box office even after its first week.

Made in China is a comedy-drama that stars Rajkummar Rao and Mouni Roy in the lead roles. The film was released during the Diwali weekend on October 25. With Housefull 4 and Saand Ki Aankh running simultaneously on screens, Made In China is still struggling to make its presence felt at the box office even though it has been positively received by the critics. Reportedly, the film had also opened to a dull first-week collection. According to the Box Office India reports, Made In China has managed to collect around 90 lakhs during its first week which brings its total collections to around 10.25 crore at the box office.

Rajkummar Rao and Mouni Roy's chemistry was well-received in the film

Although Made In China has received praises from critics, the film had witnessed a slow start at the theatre windows. Made In China, narrates the story of a Gujarati entrepreneur who turns into a business tycoon by selling aphrodisiac. The film also saw the collaboration of Rajkummar and Mouni who shared the screen space for the first time in the film. Their on-screen chemistry was well-received by the masses. However, the film is still struggling to make its mark at the box office and is receiving a tough competition from the Akshay Kumar starrer Housefull 4 as well as the Bumi Pednekar and Taapsee Pannu starrer Saand Ki Aankh.

Rajkummar Rao will soon be seen in the film Roohi Afza opposite Janhvi Kapoor

Made In China is Rajkummar’s third film of the year. His earlier two releases were Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga opposite Sonam Kapoor and Judgemental Hai Kya opposite Kangana Ranaut. The actor will now be seen in the Hardik Mehta directorial Roohi Afza where he will be seen opposite Janhvi Kapoor and Hansal Mehta’s Turram Khan where he will be seen opposite Nushrat Bharucha. Mouni Roy, on the other hand, made her Bollywood debut with the film Gold opposite Akshay Kumar.
