Maharashtra election: Actor Shubha Khote casts vote at Andheri west

Voting is happening on Monday, October 21 for the Maharashtra and Haryana Vidhan Sabha 2019 elections. Polling is being held on Monday to elect Maharashtra and Haryana assemblies with the BJP and its allies seeking to retain power in the two states. The voting has already started for 90 seats in Haryana and 288 assembly seats in Maharashtra since morning 7 AM. Many of the Bollywood celebs like Aamir Khan, Ritiesh Deshmukh, Madhuri Dixit and others have already cast their vote early in the morning.

Shubha Khote casts her vote

Veteran actress Shubha Khote was spotted outside the polling booth today morning. She posed with her inked finger after casting her vote for the Andheri West constituency. Recently, the actor lost her brother Viju Khote on September 30, 2019. Apart from Shubha Khote, actor Padmini Kolhapure also cast her vote from Andheri (West) Constituency. Ameet Satam from BJP, Ashok Jadhav from Congress and Kishore Rane from MNS are contesting from this constituency.

All about Shubha Khote

Born into a Marathi-Konkani family, Shubha Khote is a daughter of famous Marathi theatre actor Nandu Khote and a sister of the late actor, Viju Khote. As per reports, she is also a former women’s national champion in cycling and swimming. She is married to DM Balsavar, who appeared in a cameo in the Marathi film Chimkula Pahuna. Their daughter, Bhavana Balsavar, is also a TV actor.

The actor made her acting debut at the age of four. She made her film debut with the 1955 film Seema. Since then she has starred in many Hindi and Marathi movies, TV serials, and many stage shows. She also played negative roles in the movies like Paying Guest and Ek Duje Ke Liye. The veteran actor has also directed some comedy movies such as Hera Pheri and Hum Dono.
