Mardaani 2: Rani Mukerji says that the film has Maa Durga's essence

Rani Mukerji is one of the most iconic actors in Bollywood. She is all set to impress the audience with the second installment of her Mardaani series. Rani Mukerji says that Mardaani 2 has an essence of Maa Durga

Recently, in an interview with a leading daily, the actor said that she is glad that they released the first look and teaser of the film during the Durga Puja festival. She further explained that Maa Durga is worshipped for her strength and there is an essence of Maa Durga in the film. She concluded saying that she is really glad that she got to interact with the audience for the first time about the movie during the Durga Puja festival.

Mardaani 2's teaser looks intense as cops are seen entering a gated area. The fans can see Rani Mukerji in her uniform, all set to take charge of the situation. The first part of the film gained wide popularity making an estimated ₹57 crores at the Box Office. In the first part, Rani's character fights hard to uncover a child trafficking racket in Delhi.

Playing the role of a feisty cop, Mardaani 2 focuses on the life of Shivani Roy and the battles she has to face while fighting crimes against women. The film will reportedly see Rani Mukerji pitted against a 21-year old antagonist. The film was shot majorly in Kota and Jaipur in Rajasthan. Produced under the banner of Aditya Chopra’s Yash Raj Films, the movie is directed by Gopi Puthran. The film is set to hit the silver screens on December 13, 2019.
